Freshers’ Week! The Films

by rymh

All of our film screenings are free in Freshers’ Week! Just come along to watch some old favourites!

Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989)

Sunday 11th September
3pm – 5pm
Pleasance Theatre

Cult classic science-fiction comedy about two high-schoolers traveling through time to make the best representation for their history report. Delightful, aloof, light-hearted. A great Sunday film

E.T: The Extra- Terrestrial (1982)

Tuesday 13th September
7pm – 9pm
Back courtyard of Pleasance (Out-door screening!)
In association with CHV

A film of childhood, adventure and friendship. Enjoy a nostalgic trip back to your youth with E.T during our out-door screening during the last few weeks of the good weather :)

The Hangover (2009)
Saturday 17th September
2pm – 4pm
Pleasance Theatre

You’re shattered after Friday night (you might even say hungover ;) ). Skip all the coffee crawls! Skip the walking tours. Relax on your Saturday afternoon and recuperate before heading back out for more with the comedy styling of three misfit friends trying to find their best friend after losing him on a night out.

The Last Circus (EIFF)

by rymh

Crazy manic clown is
absolutely insane and
not what I expected.*

*this is because the ‘plot preview’ that was written in the brochure was actually the first five or so minutes of the film and the rest of the film was totally unexpected. Not really in a good way because I sort of really liked the first five or so minutes the best.

14th Aug2011

The Caller (EIFF)

by rymh

A good start premise

unravels towards the end
with many plot holes.

of troll hunting. Super.
