Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989)

Cult classic science-fiction comedy about two high-schoolers traveling through time to make the best representation for their history report. Delightful, aloof, light-hearted. A great Sunday film

the help of friends. Good.

Great story about
war photographers and how
much it means. Solid.

Almanya: Welcome to Germany (EIFF)

The length patriarchs
go to for their family.
Endearing, funny.

King of Devil’s Island (EIFF)

Boys are sent to a
prison but friction
occurs. True story.

Project Nim (EIFF)

Documentary
heartbreaking and saddening.
Powerful. Well told.

Meeting Monica Velour (EIFF)

A boy seeks out his
favourite retired porn star.
Alright – nothing special.

The Last Circus (EIFF)

Crazy manic clown is
absolutely insane and
not what I expected.*

*this is because the ‘plot preview’ that was written in the brochure was actually the first five or so minutes of the film and the rest of the film was totally unexpected. Not really in a good way because I sort of really liked the first five or so minutes the best.

The Caller (EIFF)

A good start premise
unravels towards the end
with many plot holes.

Trollhunter/ Trolljegeren (EIFF)

An excellent film
about the perils and trials
of troll hunting. Super.
